Description

The Director of Acquisition Marketing will define and execute LeafLink’s lead generation and development strategy. This role is highly collaborative and cross-functional, especially with our current Marketing team and Sales leads. You will lead marketing efforts as they relate to our potential clients and users across our new and existing markets, generating awareness and driving their conversion.

The ideal candidate will be a seasoned, performance-based marketer with at least eight years of experience and previous work with e-commerce, and/or SaaS platforms. You should be a professional who is familiar marketing to highly segmented, diverse targets in a b2b market, but also excited to create and define the industry standard for acquisition marketing in a new industry. As a rapidly growing startup, we seek a thought leader and data enthusiast who is also willing to get down in the weeds, conceptualizing, executing, and testing campaigns from beginning to end.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Create and execute quarterly marketing plans, determining how to most effectively leverage your budget, team, and resources for maximized brand awareness and lead generation
  • Define and report on KPIs and goals related to acquisition, work closely with leadership to analyze and assess efficacy of initiatives and how they are supporting larger organizational goals
  • Work together with the Sales team to drive marketing-qualified leads and streamline inbound interest for optimized conversion, potentially introducing new platforms to do so
  • Become an expert on LeafLink’s brand, working together with our designer and consultants to build strong messaging and a unique identity
  • Plan and help to organize LeafLink’s attendance and exhibits at industry tradeshows
  • Manage LeafLink’s relationship with its PR agency while consecutively building relationships with journalists in the cannabis space
  • Help to develop and nurture revenue streams related to marketing
  • Stay informed on best practices for acquisition marketing, especially in the b2b and cannabis space
  • Travel to LeafLink’s markets, meeting with our existing brands and retailers and attending industry events to better understand how to attract new clients

Qualifications and Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • At least 8 years of b2b marketing experience in the SaaS or e-commerce space; tech startup experience a plus
  • Experience scaling marketing acquisition operations at a rapidly growing startup in its Series A and/or Series B stage
  • A proven ability to ideate and execute both traditional and digital marketing strategies, including but not limited to: marketing automation, lead scoring, funnel and conversion creation and optimization, content and SEO, paid marketing, social media, email marketing, and organizing conferences & events
  • Existing relationships at Google, Instagram, Facebook are a plus, as these will be needed for overcoming industry-specific challenges
  • Strong knowledge of digital marketing tools such as Hubspot, Marketo, Pardot, and Google Analytics

Working together with our current Marketing lead, the Engagement & Retention Marketing Manager will be responsible for gathering and assessing platform data to conceptualize and execute marketing programs aimed at user engagement. Your goal will not only be to reduce churn and maximize customer lifetime value, but also to create awareness and promote adoption of new and existing features and products. This role is highly collaborative and cross-functional, especially with our Client Success and Engineering teams.

The ideal candidate will be a seasoned marketer with at least four years of experience leading customer retention and engagement initiatives for e-commerce and/or SaaS platforms. We’re seeking someone who is data-driven and analytical, but can also create compelling campaigns with warm, friendly copy that echoes our brand. You should also be comfortable in a startup environment, taking passionate ownership of your role and responsibilities; you will simultaneously act as a creative thought leader who brainstorms and presents new ideas as well as a fearless doer, willing to get in the weeds to get the work done.

  • Work together with the current marketing lead to drive the strategy around all of our customer engagement efforts, working throughout the organization to execute initiatives
  • Be responsible for increasing engagement and loyalty with new & existing customers via email campaigns, in-platform product promotions, co-marketing, and other strategies
  • Assess user behavior using internal reporting and Kissmetrics (or other platforms) for potential product recommendations that would drive user engagement
  • Report on engagement and retention KPIs and create and execute plans to improve them

Experience Needed
  • 5+ years of experience in a sales role, preferably in the software industry selling an SaaS platform, B2B software, or other technology product that requires a discovery meeting and an analysis of the client’s needs

Responsibilities
