Customer Spotlight: All Ways Aeroponics
Growing Quality Cannabis with Hydroponics
All Ways Aeroponics is a rising star in the New Mexico cannabis market, known for its unwavering commitment to quality and innovative use of hydroponics, specifically aeroponics, to cultivate their products. What’s the difference between the two and what makes this so unique? Take a read as we explore how All Ways Aeroponics began, why they chose to use the aeroponics technique, and how they built a state-of-the-art facility to make it all a reality.
The Beginning…
Founded by Matthew Rocco and family, All Ways Aeroponics started in Colorado but soon found a more welcoming environment in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The move was not without its challenges. Initially, the team faced stringent legislative hurdles in Colorado, which prompted them to seek better opportunities elsewhere.
“We literally loaded up our entire facility in a couple of U-Hauls and drove all the way down to Albuquerque,” Co-Founder and Director of Sales Dillon Yates recounts. This decision turned out to be the best they ever made, setting the stage for the quickly growing company.
Privately funded by the family, All Ways Aeroponics operates without the pressures of external shareholders. This allows them to focus on their mission of providing high-quality cannabis at fair prices, as reflected in their family-oriented business ethos.
Innovative Growing Techniques
All Ways Aeroponics has distinguished itself through the use of aeroponics, a sophisticated form of hydroponics. In aeroponics, plant roots are suspended in the air and periodically misted with a nutrient-rich solution. Dillon describes it: “The plants’ roots look like a horse’s mane as they hang freely in the air.”
This method eliminates the need for soil, ensuring that all nutrients go directly to the plant. The benefits are numerous: plants grow faster, the buds are larger, and they contain higher concentrations of THC, and other cannabinoids. For instance, their latest crop included a remarkable 10-gram nug, which Dillon noted can be used to make an ounce with just three buds.
Aeroponics also presents unique challenges. Without soil to act as a buffer, any pathogens can quickly threaten the entire crop. To counter this, All Ways Aeroponics has implemented rigorous clean room protocols, including custom-built air showers and positive air pressure environments to keep contaminants at bay.
Commitment to Quality
Quality is not just a buzzword at All Ways Aeroponics; it is a core principle embedded in every aspect of their operation. The company runs its facility like a high-tech laboratory. “We have what we call command central,” Dillon explains, referring to their advanced monitoring system with hundreds of sensors that track every aspect of the growing environment.
This system allows them to quickly detect and address any issues, ensuring that their plants are always in the best possible condition. The dedication to maintaining a pristine environment extends to their use of reverse osmosis water, the cleanest possible, for their plants. It also sets the stage for being a sustainable business, reusing waste and reducing their carbon footprint.
Success through Dedication
The team at All Ways Aeroponics is composed of passionate individuals with diverse backgrounds. Matthew Rocco is a former software engineer with experience in government contracts, including projects for the Air Force and NASA. His technical expertise has been instrumental in developing their unique aeroponics system.
Despite the technical challenges and initial financial risks, the team’s hard work has paid off. They have grown from a small operation into a significant player in New Mexico’s cannabis market. Dillon’s hands-on sales approach, initially going door-to-door to dispensaries, has built a strong network of loyal customers. The introduction of LeafLink further boosted their sales, helping them achieve record-breaking revenues.
Their success is also a testament to their innovative products, such as the Voyager, a unique disposable vape that allows users to mix and match different strains. This product has become a bestseller and reflects the company’s ability to blend quality with creativity.
One of the pivotal tools All Ways Aeroponics adopted was LeafLink. “LeafLink really made my job a lot easier and boosted our sales so much,” Dillon shares. The platform allowed them to reach a broader audience, efficiently managing orders and expanding their customer base. Within the first month of using LeafLink, All Ways Aeroponics saw their sales nearly double in the first month.
Wrapping up a successful 2024 with big plans for 2025…
All Ways Aeroponics is a remarkable example of how dedication to quality and innovation can lead to success in the competitive cannabis industry. While aeroponics is one of the most challenging ways to grow cannabis, their success is a clear sign that consumers like the end result. As they continue to expand and refine their operations, All Ways Aeroponics remains committed to their founding principles, ensuring that their customers always receive the best that modern cannabis cultivation has to offer.
